Description

Organic medium sushi rice is very small and almost round. It also contains a high percentage of starch when compared to other varieties, which is why the grains are so sticky and perfect for making sushi. Sushi rice is unique in its ability to bind together and thus is used to form the backbone of various types of Japanese dishes.

USES

Suggested Usage

Perfectly in sushi rolls or Japanese bowls.Sushi rice along with seaweed and fresh, seasonal veggies makes for a wonderful snack. Addmeat, seafood, avocado and other veggies then top with black sesame seeds and serve with tamari and wasabi for a nourishing, satiating meal or snack.

To cook, firstly wash the rice in cold water and drain. Add just enough cold water to cover the rice in a pot then bring to the boil and cover. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes until the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked.

Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
